CRA Activities and Accomplishments in 2000

Held very successful monthly potluck parties: 25 to 60 people attended EACH time.

Received "Community Service and Dedication Award" and "Best Organizational Presentation Award” from the Imperial Court.

Participated and Marched in the LA Gay Pride Parade with new banners.

Produced our own first exhibit of original Chinese paintings.

Co-produced successfully with GAPSN "Sex Toys and Fetishes" workshop/rap at the Village.

Held our very first Asian Costume Halloween Party.

Officially sponsored "In Search of the Best Male Exotic Dancer" event at El Rey Theater.

Conducted two HIV/health awareness outreach activities.

Held a board retreat with 100% board member attendance.

Had a multi-purpose field trip -- visiting a museum to see a Chinese exhibit, dining out, and shopping.

Held a Chinese new year banquet in Chinatown -- a full house.

Networked with other groups including the Gay Games, API-PFLAG, and OUTFEST.

Participated in community events like "Mr. and Miss Gay Pride Pageant," "Queen of the Universe" pageant, Imperial court's "Coronation," "A Night of a Hundred Gowns."
